If you would like to get involved in any aspect of the 2018 carnival, please get in touch.

If you would like to volunteer- please visit our volunteers page to register your interest or email info@hodgehillcarnival.org.uk

As a local school or community group, we want to give you the opportunity to get involved in a number of different ways:

  1. Join the carnival procession – we won’t be closing roads, but we will be processing (on the pavements) around Hodge Hill on the morning of 14th July.  We need bands, dancers, and ‘mini-floats’ (how about decorating a shopping trolley, a bike or a buggy?). This year’s theme is simply  ‘Carnival’, so be loud and bright-  it’s an invitation to let your creativity run wild and get dressed up.
  2. Perform on the carnival stage – we want singers, musicians, dancers, drummers, jugglers, actors, poets, story-tellers… you name it! Tell us what you can do, and how long you need, and we’ll book you in (performances between 12pm and 3.30pm)!
  3. Book a stall– if you’ve got wonderful things to sell or exhibit, if you want to tell the world what you’re about, or you just want to entertain the crowds with fun games or feed them with fairy cakes, then book a stall with us! (Better still, you get to keep all your takings after an initial booking fee.)
  4. Join the steering group – help us make this a brilliant second year for the Hodge Hill Carnival & Eid Mela

If you are a community group or school that would like to get involved please contact us.
